What is CUT?

CUT is evam’s movement to create a stage for the actor in you.  If you want to act and don’t know where to start or if you are more serious about acting and want to hone your skills and connect to the industry, CUT is for you.  Whether its theatre, film or just getting to know the method behind the madness, if Acting is your passion – CUT provides you the training and the plat form!

What do we DELIVER?

The CUT workshop course module consists of basics of acting including body language, character building, voice culture, interpretation and focus. While Cut or Cut level 1 is a two day introductory workshop, Cut level 2 is a 10 day intense actor’s program.  Cut participants get a chance to be part of a actor database which is made accessible to the industry. A wake up call for the actor in you and a bridge between you and the industry is what Cut aims to be.

The CUT courses are delivered using theatreLIVE methodology- techniques, games, activities and exercises. It’s a workshop format –the emphasis is on learning by doing. It’s going back to the child state and rediscovering the world around you, a little by theory, a lot through action.

What MORE do I get?

Although CUT is designed for acting, it promises to deliver much more than that. It’s about gaining a perspective and a sense of being. About learning empathy, teamwork, focus, confidence, communication and so much more! Become a better story teller for your kids, a better communicator in your sales job, a better team player, a better actor… and a better person!

How much does it cost?

Fee is Rs 3500 (10% discount for students and on bulk bookings>5 people)

(Lunch and snacks are included in the cost of the program)

Is there any qualification required to apply?

No! It’s an introductory workshop for everyone above the age of 15 years (class 10th onwards)

You send us a mail, we send you back an application, You fill it and send us back! We decide your admission based on your application and seats available.

What do I need to bring?

Bring yourself- 120% enthusiasm and commitment to the workshop and invest yourself physically and emotionally.

And yes come in loose comfortable clothes.

What language is the course taught in?

English primarily with a smattering of all other Indian lingo

Will I get to be part of any play or ad later?

A professional performance or role is not a deliverable since its only a 2 day workshop

but we promise to connect you to the industry and inform you of auditions.
